Heads of Maritime Administrations in West and Central Africa have discussed port State control and flag State implementation during a three-day regional workshop in Lagos, 尼日利亚(5月9 - 11). The main objective was to provide a platform to create awareness on the duties of the Heads of Maritime Administrations and to exchange views to enhance the harmonization of port State control (PSC) activities and flag State implementation in the Abuja MoU region.
Identifying emerging threats to maritime security is key in developing the right tools to ensure sound maritime security governance. 为了解决这个问题, thirty participants from multiple Kenyan Government Ministries and Agencies with responsibility for maritime security policy and operational implementation are taking part in a five-day IMO-sponsored workshop (9-13 五月). Strengthening port security is the focus of a five-day workshop (9-13 五月) in Antananarivo, 马达加斯加. IMO officials are assisting the maritime administration to develop the legal framework to give full and complete effect to the IMO instruments dealing with maritime security, including the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code).
